Cotton Fit

A restrained commercial building in Obiliq that balances an industrial character with generous glazing and precise facade rhythm.

Cotton Fit in Obiliq brings together the practical demands of a commercial building and a contemporary minimalist character. Designed in 2009, the 700 m² building shows how commercial architecture can have a strong, elegant and lasting presence within an urban and industrial landscape.

The exterior is based on clear cubic forms, a modular facade and careful control of natural light through large corner windows. Cool grey rectangular panels form a regular geometric grid around the building, creating a clean monolithic appearance while supporting strong thermal insulation.

At first-floor level, a large glazed surface turns the corner of the building. It brings generous daylight into the interior and becomes a broad display window that glows warmly in the evening. Black vertical fins give the facade a more dynamic rhythm and provide subtle solar protection.

With Cotton Fit, our aim was to create commercial architecture that would not quickly become dated. The more enclosed ground floor supports logistics and service access, while the upper floor provides bright offices, showroom or administration space. Minimal architectural lighting emphasises the facade after dark, and the paved court and concrete entrance steps continue the building's restrained industrial language.
