DS Villa

A substantial family villa in Sllatinë, shaped as a cascade of stone, timber and glass across the natural slope.

DS Villa in Sllatinë is designed in close harmony with the site's natural topography. Conceived as a cascading structure, the house uses each level to provide privacy, practical living spaces and wide views across the landscape.

Natural stone, warm timber and glass give the building a strong, lasting character while allowing it to settle naturally into its surroundings. Across 750 m², external stairs follow the slope and connect a series of sheltered terraces and balconies at every level.

The main facade is defined by square-cut stone in warm sand tones, paired with natural timber window frames and transparent glass balustrades. At street level, two garages with timber doors are integrated into the base, while the living spaces are raised above for greater privacy.

Our aim was for nature and architecture to coexist rather than compete. Floor-to-ceiling glazing maintains a continuous visual connection between the interior and its surroundings, while broad balconies and terraces provide safe, private areas for family life. Exposed concrete at the base and the ventilated stone facade support strong thermal performance throughout the year.
