A residential renovation in Peja that gives an existing villa a second life through colour, light and expanded outdoor spaces.

GG Villa in Peja is a renovation project that shows how an existing structure can be transformed to meet contemporary needs and ways of living. The main challenge was to preserve the identity and characteristic elements of the original building while giving it a completely new, modern and functional character.

Through a careful intervention in the facade, colour palette and organisation of the outdoor spaces, the villa has become a comfortable home that sits naturally within Peja's rich landscape. The traditional red-tiled roof was retained and restored, maintaining a clear connection with the building's history and the local architecture.

Across 400 m², the renovation creates a dialogue between traditional and modern elements. Olive green and mustard yellow give the new facade a distinctive identity while connecting it with the surrounding trees. Dark-framed glazing brings more natural light into the interior, and minimal wall lights create a warm atmosphere in the evening.

Renovation is not simply a change in appearance, but an opportunity to give a structure a second life. The expanded terraces support everyday family life, from relaxing and dining to working outdoors, while solid balcony walls provide privacy without disturbing the building's clean volume.
